Use of this Site is with the permission of JRR in only in accordance with these Terms of Service, as posted here, and which may be revised from time to time without notice.

By using this Site and making purchases through this Site you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service, which are made and enforced under the laws of British Columbia, Canada:

  1. Content on this Site is suitable for all ages, but we will not collect personal information from or transact sales with anyone under the age of 18.
  2. All of the content on this Site (images, text, logos, trade names, trade marks) as well as the look and feel (content organization and presentation) of the Site, the domain name “Fourchefsonegarden.com” and the book title “Four Chefs One Garden” are properties either owned by or licensed to JRR and any unauthorized copying is strictly prohibited.
  3. You may forward a link to this Site to anyone.   
  4. If you wish to Link to this Site from another web or mobile property please contact us at pproy@telus.net. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to agree to any incoming links and to ask for removal of any third party links.
  5. Agreeing to a link to our Site does not grant any license or rights to the content or to the JRR trademarks, trade names, logos or other intellectual property.
  6. JRR is not responsible for the accuracy of third party information provided and posted on this Site.

Pricing and Purchasing Books through this Site

  1. Purchases made of the book “Four Chefs One Garden” (the “Book”) featured on this Site are transacted through third party eCommerce payment companies who employ best practices in terms of transaction security and privacy of purchaser’s information.  JRR is not liable to any purchaser for any aspect of these payment transactions.
  2. Any Book ordered or purchased shall be ordered or purchased for non-commercial and lawful purposes only and any other use is not permitted. JRR reserves the right to limit the quantities of Books which you can purchase through this Site.
  3. JRR reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders containing any error, inaccuracy or omission, whether or not the order has been submitted, confirmed and/or your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, JRR shall promptly issue a credit to your credit card.  
  4. All prices listed on this Site are for online purchases only and may not be matched at retail locations. Similarly all prices at any retail location may not be matched for online purchases on this Site. You must purchase the Book directly from the purchase page on this Site in order to receive the Web Site price.
  5. Unless otherwise stated, all price comparisons refer to this price on this Site, offered nationally in Canada. Regular prices will take effect after any sale offer expires. Dates and/or times for sales and promotions will be determined according to Pacific Time (PST).
  6. Unless otherwise stated, "Sale", "Discount" and similar statements refer only to the prices on this Site, during the time period stated and are subject to change without notice.
  7. It is possible that the Book may be out of stock at the time you order. When your order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation verifying receipt of your order and confirming the availability and selling prices of items in your order. We apologize for any inconvenience should this occur with your order.
  8. JRR will make best efforts to ship or deliver any ordered product as quickly as possible and within the time periods indicated. However, JRR will not be held responsible for any delays in shipping or delivery. Where delivery is delayed you will be notified as soon as possible.
  9. NO BOOKS WILL BE SHIPPED TO ADDRESSES LOCATED OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA.
  10. All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars and will be processed in Canadian dollars. Prices do not include any applicable fees, charges or taxes including but not limited to, sales taxes and delivery charges. The Total Price is calculated from the single-unit price for each item and does not reflect multiple-purchase discounts or other offers.
  11. Jaager Roy & Roy charges sales tax for Books purchased based on the applicable combined federal and provincial sales tax rate of the location to which the order is being shipped. All provinces except New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have 5% G.S.T (Goods & Services Tax) added to all orders. The following Provinces have P.S.T (Provincial Sales Tax) added to all orders. British Columbia (7% PST), Saskatchewan (5% PST), Manitoba (7% PST), Ontario (8% PST), Prince Edward Island (10% PST). New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have 13% H.S.T (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders. Quebec has 7.5% Q.S.T. (Quebec Sales Tax) added to all orders.
  12. A non-refundable handling charge will be applied to all orders.  You will be advised of all applicable charges before we ship your order.

Privacy Policy

  1. JRR does not collect information on this Site that personally identifies you, except to process your Book orders or if you provide your email address to us to receive more information.
  2. We may ask you if you wish to receive emails about book signings or other events. If you consent we will also provide you with a means to be removed from such mailing lists.
    Service providers to JRR and JRR may collect aggregate statistics about users on this Site. These reports will not contain identifiable personal information.
  3. JRR does keep a record of the domains of visitors to this Site. We use this information to get statistical information allowing us to determine the reach of our Site, and to better design our Site and services. We discard the domain logs after we have completed our analysis.
  4. Email addresses stored on JRR’s computers and servers are secured by employing technologies and policies based on evolving industry best practices. These are designed to protect personal data against loss, alteration, destruction, disclosure, misuse, or unauthorized access.
  5. You may contact JRR to inquire about any personal information we may have retained about you, and to verify that it is accurate and current. eMail us at pproy@telus.net. Response times may vary depending upon the volume of inquiries, or the nature of your inquiry.
  6. JRR has designated an officer responsible for enforcing this privacy policy. JRR will investigate your concerns and correct our processes if we have breached any of our policies or procedures.
